Tenuta La Badiola is at the centre of the Tuscan Maremma Close to the Mediterranean Sea a few kilometres from Castiglione della Pescaia, in the words of the owners,   “The view from the estate stretches as far as the eye can see, to where the turquoise of the waves merges with the intense  blue of the Tuscan sky”.

Originally Tenuta La Badiolia was formed in the 1800’s by Leopold II of Lorraine, Grand Duke of Tuscany.

La Badiola is the starting point where Leopold decided to reclaim the marshes of the Maremma in the province of Grosseto. The duke’s idea was to eliminate malaria from the Maremma. Slowly the Duke established the villages and farms that would develop the Maremma agriculturally. In recent times, the estate was bought by the Moretti family, which has restored Leopold’s villa.

With some classic tuscan landscapes surrounding the area we take a look at the views in our gallery.
